How will the awarding of prizes be handled?The awarding of prizes for best oral presentations and poster session presentations is at the descretion of the judges, who reserve the right to award different monetary amounts and/or combination of awards. Do I have to be present at all the events to qualify for an award? Yes, you must be present at all event to be eligible to win an award. Is it true that there are no registration fees? That's absolutely true! There are no registration fees for participants or presenters. How can I get my hotel paid for?You must reserve a room at one of the recommended hotels to receive any reimbursement. You must pay the hotel up front, and we will reimburse 100% of the room fees for participants/attendees who are willing to share a room with another participant and 50% of the room fees for participants who prefer to have a room to themselves. You will be responsible for any charges above the room fees. Will meals be provided? Yes, they will! Most meals will be provided on site. Who is eligible for reimbursement of travel expenses? We are sorry but we are unable to provide travel support at this time. Which airport should I fly in to? We would prefer you to fly in to the Laurel-Hattiesburg Regional Airport (PIB), where we will be running a shuttle to bring you back to your hotel. We will also provide one shuttle per day from the Gulfport/Biloxi and Jackson Airports. Pickup time to be determined. If you choose to arrive at a different airport, you will be responsible for getting yourself to Hattiesburg. We will NOT pick you up from any airport other than Pinebelt, Gulfport or Jackson. What size should my poster be? Posters should be no larger than 4ft by 3ft, or they will be disqualified and not considered for a prize. How long should my presentation be? We have allotted 15 minutes for each presenter. This should include time for questions and answers. Points (for the competition) will be deducted if you exceed the maximum time. Can I present both an oral presentation and a poster? Yes, but only one presentation will be eligible for winning a prize.
