Polytetrahydrofuran

Addition polymer of the tetrahydrofuran

Polytetrahydrofuran or PTHF is organic-soluble but not water soluble.
It is usually made in moderate to low molecular weights
for use as a "macromonomer" with other reactives.
This provides flexibility and toughness while maintaining strength.
More on this nonionic polymer can be found at the polyether pages.
